After working many years in corporate America, primarily in the wireless industry, Melissa Dickerson decided to change her life's course and create a personal chef business that supported her love of cooking.
Melissa is a self-taught cook whose passion for cooking started at an early age (she's the one in the red bathing suit helping her mother, Penny, make chocolate chip bars). Her formal culinary education includes an 18 week Comprehensive Basics Course at the Everyday Gourmet Cooking School in Bellevue, WA. She enjoyed it so much she volunteered as an apprentice in the same course 2 years later. She also attended week long "Introduction to the Professional Kitchen" course at the Culinary Institute of America in Napa, CA. Melissa has also successfully catered for parties up to 150 people but her real joy is cooking in a more intimate setting, for one household at a time. Melissa loves the one on one relationships with her clients the personal chef business fosters. From developing customized menus for clients, to shopping for the freshest ingredients, to cooking meals in someone's home, Melissa provides the highest quality service. |
